Another massive week at 3.6 pounds down - exactly matching last week's performance. Sixteen weeks into this journey and I'm still hitting these numbers that seemed impossible at the start. I've got tons of energy, I'm sleeping amazingly well, and I'm genuinely enjoying working out again.
I keep saying I can't maintain this pace, but here we are with only a couple of weeks below the 2 pound minimum. The progress just keeps moving forward, and it feels incredible.
## The Fat Clothes Reality Check (and a Silly Milestone)
It's no secret what type of underwear I wear - it's right there in my weekly progress photos. But I hit a bit of a silly milestone this week that made me laugh.
I found my current selection of underwear significantly loose. Just like the rest of my fat clothes, I still haven't replaced them. Well, I found myself at a Walmart with athletic Wrangler brand underwear on sale - 6 bucks for 3 pair.
I grabbed the fat size out of habit...but then thought about it and went with the large size 36 to 38. Happy to report they fit great. I'm still holding onto my fat jeans though.
It's these little everyday moments that really drive home the progress. Not just the scale, not just the measurements, but realizing your actual day to day clothes don't fit anymore.
## RENPHO Scale Report: Week 16 Body Composition
This week's [RENPHO smart scale](https://amzn.to/47unhTA) report continues showing data beyond just weight. I'm highly doubting its accuracy with anything beyond weight though. It's claiming lean mass loss this week, but I improved all of my lifts by 10 to 20 lbs working weight for 4 sets of 10 reps.

I also have more muscle definition when flexing in the mirror (not included with my progress photos - you're welcome). I guess it's still possible to lose lean mass as it claims, but in a week where I improved every single lift? I find that extremely unlikely.
## Upcoming DEXA Scan: November 8th
I've scheduled my second DEXA scan for the morning of November 8th. This is a 2 hour drive for me, and given my progress pictures, I'm getting excited to see what the new numbers are.
It's a little earlier than I wanted, but there were limited Saturday appointments available in November. The first DEXA scan gave me solid baseline data - this second one will show exactly what's happening with body composition beyond what the RENPHO scale is guessing at.
Real data always beats estimates. Looking forward to seeing those visceral fat numbers after 16 weeks on protocol.
## 5-Amino-1MQ: Back in Rotation at 20mg
After my planned two week break, I've brought 5-amino-1MQ back into the protocol at 20mg daily. The break confirmed what I suspected - I genuinely miss that energy boost it provides. It's not jittery or anxious energy, just that clean alertness and focus that made my days feel more productive.
Mixed up a fresh batch and started back this week. Good to have it back in the stack.
StepUp Challenge: Still Going Strong
We're still 5 members strong in our group, and everyone continues to impress me with their step counts. The consistency from the group has been incredible.
If you'd like to join our group, you can use the direct group invite or read about why I started this challenge.
## Family Protocol Updates
Small update on my wife - still on 3mg per week. She reported some slight nausea during the week, but no major diet changes. She'll stay at 3mg next week to let her body adjust.
I've added another family member to the mix too. Two weeks in, running 2mg, they report no hunger and they're doing a low carb diet. No reported side effects so far.
